In 2016, the Bonisteel Library began a project headed by Jan Doerfer. She interviewed students and listened to their stories as they told her about their journey as an artist. The students’ stories have been recorded and were featured in the library and on the library Tumblr page. Each year there was a slight difference in the focus depending on the school’s theme: Your Journey Starts Here, 2016-17; There Are NO Strangers, 2017-18; Friendship Connection, 2018-19; Citizen Artist 2019-20.
