American Pianists Association
This association promotes the career development of young, American pianists through their biennial competition, the American Pianists Awards. Nominees in both classical and jazz departments participate in concerts and community outreach projects such as a residency in a high school ensemble and performances in hospitals.
Piano Technicians Guild
This organization provides the piano service and technology industry's only recognized certification, the Registered Piano Technician. Their site hosts study resources for the exams this certification requires, a directory of certified professionals, and information on piano history, maintenance, repair, and tuning for both technicians and teachers.
